CNN asked Nicki Minaj about those Lauryn Hill comparisonsIrv Gotti tossed out last month. And she defended him saying the comparisons would make sense if we were all privy to Nicki’s unreleased music that Irv is privy to:
“Irv has been privy to hear things that I’ve done that the world hasn’t heard,” she says. “Based on the music I have out now, that sounds like an absurd comment, but when ‘Pink Friday’ comes out, you will completely understand why Irv made that comparison.”

In court yesterday
In other news, Breezy copped an "A" on his progress report yesterday from the L.A. county judge Patricia Schnegg. He has been completing his probation requirements and abiding by all rules necessary, the judge said yesterday.
"You’re doing very well on probation," Schnegg told Brown. "You’re doing a great job."
Brown, 21, did not speak during the hearing.
The judge said Brown had consistently worked to satisfy his six-month community labor sentence, but she did not say how many hours he had completed.
Schnegg also noted she had read positive reports from a domestic violence counseling program attended by Brown.
DEUCES! Ever since his tribute to Michael and tear filled apology, Chris has chucked the deuces and said ‘bye bye’ to drama. He’s starring in movies, dropping hot music and now the judge overseeing his case has given him kudos for his progress.
Chris Brown just got a huge pat on the back from the judge in his felony abuse case … including a “great job” for following the terms of his probation so well.
During the brief hearing, the judge reviewed the progress report document turned in by Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos … and she was very pleased with what she saw.
The judge said Brown has been attending all of his court-ordered domestic violence counseling sessions and has been “working consistently” on completing his community labor.
As previously reported, Brown pled guilty to felony assault last year for beating up Rihanna.

The Takers stars Chris Brown and Idris Elba stopped by "106 and Park" to sex up the cameras promote their movie that is coming out this Friday. In addition to dishing about the movie, Chris opened up about his Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards and called it his ultimate apology. Breezy also talked about the rumors of his tour with Usherand said that the tour is not finalized yet, but they are working on upcoming joint gigs. That would be a good look for both of them.
