Keyshia Cole's CD 'A Different Me' is Under Review

image Keyshia Cole's 'A Different Me'

Moving past the pain and tears of her first two albums, a sultry and sexy Keyshia Cole lets fans know she's ready to give them "A Different Me." Underscoring her mission, the singer/songwriter jump-starts the proceedings with the Polow Da Don-produced rollicking party jam "Make Me Over," whose pulsating kick is flavored by interpolations of Ike and Tina Turner's "Tina's Wish" (originally known as "Tina's Prayer"). She keeps the playful fervor going on "Please Don't Stop" before coyly slowing things down on "Erotic." Whether hooking up with real-life friend Monica on the midtempo girl-talk duet "Trust" or channeling her trademark passion on the noteworthy ballads "You Complete Me" and "Brand New," Cole exhibits a growing confidence and command of her vocal talent. In an industry often lamented for its lack of career-building artists, Cole sounds an awful lot like someone who's here to stay. —Gail Mitchell

Keyshia, it is obvious that your days of living in the past are over. The songs that you are now writing are showing that you have evolved into a woman that states her claim of having been able to survive and weather her storms of life. May God continue to use you as an example of how time heals all wounds, and that faith in Him brings about change and transformation.I am a writer of gospel songs, and if you are ever interested in singing gospel, I have some songs that I believe you would be interested in.May God Bless You!
