Kelly’s third album is slated for release later this year on Universal Motown.

Here’s Nicki Minaj’s promo video for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Nicki will give her first-ever televised solo performance during the pre-show with “Your Love” which is set to kick off Sunday, September 12, at 8 PM (EST).
In a statement announcing her participation, Nicki said:
“I am truly honored to be a part of this year’s VMAs. Just yesterday I was an underground female rapper. See, Barbz? Dreams do come true.”
She’s also offering to make 10 of her fans’ dreams come true by offering 10 front-row seats to her performance. For information on the contest, follow @NickiMinaj and @MTVTJ. Winners will be announced on Friday, September 10.

( TMZ EXCLUSIVE: TINY GETTING ARRESTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT )
Rapper/actor Clifford “T.I.” Harris and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested Wednesday night in West Hollywood for drug possession. According to reports:
Cops pulled the two over on Sunset Blvd around 10:18 PM for a traffic violation and then smelled marijuana. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, cops say they found a controlled substance — we’re told it was not cocaine. The class of the controlled substance that was found includes methamphetamines and ecstasy.
Tiny and T.I. were taken to separate squad cars and transported to a local Sheriff’s station. Both were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance. They were released on ,000 bail. [SOURCE]
T.I. is currently serving a three-year probation after he pleaded guilty in May of 2009, for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers before the BET Hip-Hop Awards in 2007.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was hit with a M lawsuit filed by Francesca Spero, the former VP of Management and Publishing at Bad Boy Entertainment. The 51 year-old claims that Diddy was not sympathetic to her medical condition and believes that she was a victim of age discrimination.
According to TMZ.com:
In the docs, Spero claims she and Diddy — aka Sean Combs — butted heads after she informed him that she needed major hip surgery in 2008 … and then later “suffered a relapse” to an addiction to prescription medication and alcohol. Spero claims Diddy was “unsympathetic to her condition” — and ultimately tried to freeze her out of the company. Spero says she continued to do her work — signing new artists — but was eventually fired in March 2010…and replaced by a woman 10-15 years younger who “lacked the skill set and experience Spero brought to the position.” [ SOURCE ]
A spokesperson for Mr. Combs told TMZ, “This is a grab for money by someone who concedes in her complaint to having had a drug relapse while on the job and an employer who was not satisfied with her work.”

Guess who was spotted looking for apartments with his girlfriend in Tribeca on Thursday afternoon? Hint: He has two children from a previous relationship.
It’s entertainer Usher. He was spotted looking for apartments in Tribeca with his rumored girlfriend Grace Miguel. The duo weren’t pictured together but were seen entering and exiting a list of apartments in the area.
Usher has two sons from a previous marriage to Tameka Raymond.

Entertainer Kanye West and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks were pictured having a blast during day three of the 2010 U.S. Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The duo watched tennis player Andy Roddick from the comfort of a suite at the Stadium.
The rapper, who recently split from model Amber Rose and the Victoria’s Secret model (who was once engaged to Nick Cannon), laughed, joked and drank their way through the match with “Gossip Girl” stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr (pictured in the background).

MOVIE ‘ROUND UP : PAULA PATTON LANDS ‘MISSION IMPOSSIBLE’ ROLE / TYLER PERRY ‘FOR COLORED GIRLS’ FILM GETS PUSHED UP

Actress Paula Patton landed a role in the upcoming Mission Impossible sequel. According to Deadline.com, the Precious actress will be playing a young operative who works with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise’s character). Oddly, the film will not be called Mission: Impossible 4. No word on what the possible title may be. The movie will be directed by Brad Bird and will begin filming in the Fall.
Director and actor Tyler Perry will be releasing a new film For Colored Girls on November 5th of this year instead of on MLK weekend in 2011 . Perry’s new release date will put the film in a position to be considered for year-end awards. The cast will include Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Loretta Devine, Anika Noni Rose, Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Phylicia Rashad, Macy Gray, Tessa Thompson, Michael Ealy, Hill Harper, Khalil Kain, Omari Hardwick and Richard Lawson. Perry’s film will be based on Ntozake Shange’s award-winning 1975 stage play titled ‘For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.’
